On Parents and Hair Cuts

January 29, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 15 Comments

I have two questions for you guys. One, did your parents ever cut your hair when you were little? And two, do you cut your child’s hair?

My answers are one, yes and two, no. I have this theory that the two experiences are directly linked to one another. Please, feel free to correct me if you think that I’m wrong.

A is for Ambitious

January 24, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 25 Comments

I literally just glanced at the calendar and realized that in about a week, it will be February. Wow. Didn’t it feel like January just whizzed by so quickly? My days have been super full, and I guess that’s why time seems to have flown by so fast. Between taking care of the kiddo, spending as much time as I can with MrC while he’s home, my WAHM projects, and all the other things I’ve decided to take on, my plate is really quite full. In a good way, of course.

On Parents Who Drive Their Kids To School

January 21, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 29 Comments

One of my ‘home tasks’, as I like to call them, is driving my kid to school each day. I started doing this as soon as I became a WAHM. I took a break from school bus duties last year when MrC was available to do it, but now that’s he’s back at work I’m back behind the wheel.

Last week, my car broke down and I was stuck without it for a few days. During that time, I had my driver sweet mother, aka Lola, shuttling the little boy and I around. While I enjoyed my time as a passenger, I got to observe the different kinds of parents who were bringing their kids to school each morning. Of course there were bus drivers too, nannies and grandparents, but for some reason it was the parents who really caught my attention. I became so fascinated with them that entire week that I actually categorized them into three. Yup, I did. [Read more…] about On Parents Who Drive Their Kids To School

Lunch Date At Press Cafe

January 13, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 6 Comments

One fine weekend in December, MrC and I had the whole day to ourselves while the little boy visited Fishville with his grandparents. We took advantage of the alone time to run errands, do a bit of shopping and go for a quick lunch date. Our restaurant of choice that day was Press Cafe in Fully Booked, Alabang Town Center. I’d been dying to try the food there ever since my friend Joei posted about it on her blog.

Books, books and more books!

This is what attracted me to Press Cafe

My Sugarcoated Week on Instagram (02/52)

January 12, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 2 Comments

This past week turned out to be a lot more fun and exciting than I thought it would. The boys went back to school and work, so there was a bit of an adjustment in all of our schedules. Bedtimes were moved earlier, alarm clocks were set for 5am, and I had a lot of time to spend any way I wanted to during the day.

Sunday, January 5
Sunday found me fixing my kiddo’s school bag, sharpening pencils, replacing a missing eraser and adjusting the hem of his pants because he has grown taller since the beginning of the school year.

Ready for tomorrow. #BackToSchool #MommyMode

Travelogue: Our T House Tagaytay Staycation

January 10, 2014 by MrsC | Patricia Cuyugan 4 Comments

The boys and I had a lot to be happy about over the holidays. Because we were in such high spirits, our break from work and school was really a merry one. MrC and I wanted to keep the happiness vibe going, so we decided to book a staycation for our little family on the last weekend before our return to regular programming. Because Tagaytay has always been on top of our list of quick escapes, we decided we would go there. I chose T House since we’ve never stayed there before and I’ve heard such great things about the place from friends and family. I showed MrC some photos and he immediately said yes. A few text messages and a bank deposit later, we were all set!

Off we go! The first thing we did when we got to T House was take a family selfie in front of the reception area. Then we checked out the shop!
