Wedding Bells: Joycee + Mark!

My friend Joyce and her ex-boyfriend turned husband Mark proved yesterday that love really is sweeter the second time around. Yes, I’m still on a wedding high.

I wish I had better photos but we were seated at the back most of the time, and this was the best that the zoom on Mr C’s digicam could do.

Eczema

Today I am faced with the harsh truth that I suffer from a yucky skin disease called eczema. It runs in my family, and having had ultra sensitive skin all my life, I knew I had it coming.

I’m guessing it’s a combination of bad eating habits, a shift in weather, stress, and my cocktail of cosmetics and beauty products that triggered the first spot to emerge last Christmas. Since then, not only has it grown, but it’s sprouted friends in other places including my face. Sigh.

Must schedule a visit to the derma ASAP.

Infinitea

I got all excited when I discovered that we now have a bubble milk tea kiosk in the mall. While making the rounds of our activities last Monday, my group and I decided to try out the brand new tenant, Infinitea.
 
Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite disappointing. The drink itself tasted like plain Lipton tea with creamer. Emphasis on creamer, not milk, since it lacked the rich milky quality found in other milk teas like Serenitea, and even the milk tea of Seattle’s Best. What’s worse is the pearls had absolutely no flavor. I’m not even after the sweetness (I’m a 50% sweet Serenitea girl), but more of the flavor. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t there. The pearls tasted bland and starchy and just plain sad.
 
That being said, I don’t think I’ll be getting myself another cup of the stuff. Too bad though, coz I was really hoping it would be a good enough substitute for Serenitea that would help me get by when cravings strike. Guess I was wrong!

My husband has just crossed over to the dark side. The very same guy who has teased me countless times before about my always being online and my being hooked on mobile internet has just purchased his first smartphone. At present, he is tinkering with the news feeds, the settings, and getting acquainted with the interface. Before long, I’m sure he’ll be downloading his first app, and I’ve got a feeling it will mark the start of a beautiful friendship between Mr C and his Samsung Galaxy Y.

Another Working Sunday

Twas another working Sunday for me, and so I decided to seek comfort in two of my favorite things – makeup and pizza. My addiction to makeup is a new thing so you will have to forgive me for not really being able to do much (yet) in that field, although I’d like to think I’m slowly but surely getting better at it. In all fairness, I’m really liking the messy hair and black eyeliner + pink lipstick combo. Not liking that little guy growing on my cheek though. And yes, I had pizza two days in a row. That’s probably the reason for my pesky pimple. Still, I don’t think I will ever get tired of the stuff.
